Antonia Walker says:
These books illustrate a number of different themes relating to the teacher-practitioner and represent a wide variety of creative interpretations and representations of the brief - a ‘how to’ manual for creative practitioners. For example, Book 1: ‘This in Not an Exit’ effectively explore and represents the complex inter-relationship and inter-weaving between teaching and practice. Book 4: ‘An Introduction to HE for the Practitioner’ expresses the energy and creativity that flows from practice, through teaching into the student learning experience.

Mthebo says:
I am finding it interesting that while I thought my book [No4] showed a rather bleak view of the challenges (tight resourcing, balancing practices of teaching/practice, otherness in the academy) of my role, everyone else could only see the love and the positive energy I expressed through my images. I feared that I was beginning to be jaded and cynical about my work in HE, but I obviously still care deeply. It’s made me realise that I was being a bit adolescent about the challenges I face!
